How do I make a booking?

Please contact us via the website to enquire about availability and rates.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a 25% deposit is required upon booking. The final balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday commences. Any bookings that are taken within 6 weeks are paid for in full at the time of booking

Can we book the property for a long-term rental?

What time is check-in & check-out?

The standard check-in time is 3:30pm and check out 10:30am. It is possible to arrange an earlier check-in or later check-out but in some cases this requires an additional fee.  We will always make every effort to accommodate any special requests.

Can we have a party at Gludy?

We ask guests to let us know about any party arrangements ahead of their booking.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at Gludy House.

Utilities

Is there WiFi at Gludy House?

There is unlimited broadband WiFi, however as with many rural properties, speeds can be a little bit slow.  Please note that some of the bedrooms may have lower WiFi signal.   

Is there a TV?

Yes, there is SKY TV including full sports & entertainment package in the lounge and master bedroom. To help keep young ones entertained, we have included an extra TV & DVD player in one of the attic bedrooms, complete with bean bags!

Is there a music system?  

Gludy has a Bose wireless music system. There is also a small radio in the kitchen.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

The kitchen is fully kitted out with all electrical appliances, including a ‘rangemaster double oven’, family-sized toaster, microwave, fridge with ice & filtered water dispenser and large dishwasher. There is a separate utilities room with washing machine, dryer, drying rack and everything you need to keep on top of the laundry during your stay.

Is there a safe?

There is a gun safe as well as individual safes in each bedroom.

Is the house equipped for children?

There are special in-built kids-sized beds in a couple of the rooms and a travel cot available. There is also a high chair and we can recommend babysitters should you need a night off.

Any other useful equipment?

Each room has a hair dryer so there's no need to take up space in your luggage with your own.

How far is it from nearest pub/restaurant?

A full list of recommended pubs & restaurants can be found in the welcome pack and perused upon arrival at Gludy House. There's plenty on offer in the area.

I want the full Welsh experience, where can I buy local produce?

There are fantastic farmers' markets, shops, butcheries and delicatessens all close by.

Are there supermarkets nearby?

There is a Morrisons, Co-op and Aldi in the centre of Brecon and a large Waitrose in Abergavenny. Or you can shop online -Asda, Tesco and Waitrose all deliver to Gludy.
